adding another circled number to the fingering section of the entire pallet
The fingering section currently reaches up to 6. This is one finger more than I have to offer on one hand. But if you added the circled 7 I could use them to notate alternative trombone positions.

Double-click to enter text (e.g. 7);
Add to custom palette. https://musescore.org/en/handbook/palettes-and-workspaces#custom-worksp…
Can that be fine?

that would be fine, certainly but I did not find the 7 on the entire pallet. The handbook shows only 0-6 like shown in the screenshot that I have attached. How did you get the circled 7 into the fingering section?

That's why you need a custom workspace first, there you can add elements to a custom palette, see the handbook Shoichi pointed you at
Those circled numbers are for string numbers, so no relation to the number of fingers you have (although string 0 doesn't seem to make much sense)

@ SlyDr check the attached image.
'0' could be no trombone valve (no fret etc.)
'n' indicates 'nose'. It refers to the score where the right hand and the left hand are at the two ends of the keyboard and a central note is also required ;-)

Thank you - your picture has been very instructive. I've finally got it. I allready had a custom pallet but even by reading the handbook I didn't manage to get it managed at first. No I've got positions 1-7 all in my custom pallet.
