Adding a flat sign to a chord!
I need to add a flat to the chord I have added above the notes on the manuscript. I have pressed the F2 button and then clicked on the flat sign, it dose not show up on my music score why?

Ctrl+T then F2 and a double-click?

That would add it as a staff text, the OP wants to add it to a chord symbol, if I understand it right.
Just use a regular b, it'll turn into a flat automagically

Which indeed is an exact duplicate and by the same user...
As Jojo said, use a "b" and it will change to the flat symbol. If you force a flat symbol into the chord, MuseScore will not understand it and will not transpose it if you ever need it.
Perhaps select or highlight the note in the chord you want to be flat and press the down arrow key once to make a natural note flat or (transposes a note down by half a step)... press up arrow to go up half a step, press down or up arrow multiple times to go up or down more than half a step.

This here is about chord symbols apparently.
