Piano keyboard blue highlight on keys disappears when playback is paused

After searching the forums, how to's, and documentation I wasn't able to find an answer to what is probably a very newbie question. I hope there's a way to do this that I've just overlooked. Otherwise, this is a feature request.

I use the built-in piano keyboard and the keys turning blue when playing the music is very helpful. Is there a way to freeze the blue highlights on the keys when playback is paused? The color disappears on the keys when pausing. I'd like to be able to pause and not have the blue disappear on the paused keys.
