Editing instrument name containing & loses text after that
Every time I try to edit a text after editing it the first time, it only leaves me with the first word of my first editing and erases the rest of the text. For example when I tried editing the name of the tenor part the first time, I named it "1st & 2nd Tenor" but I made a mistake and put "1st" and "&" too close together so it looked like this "1st& 2nd Tenor." When I pressed one of the arrow keys, I got "1st" and the rest of the text was erased and I had to retype the whole name myself.

There have been issues like this with & but they should all be fixed since a while, ate you really using Musescore 2.3.1?
I can confirm. The problem seems limited to instrument name text, and only when editing it directly in the score as opposed to using Staff Properties. Also, only on subsequent edits, not when initially entering the character. To reproduce:
1) double-click an instrument name in the score
2) type "1&2"
3) Press Esc to leave Edit mode
4) double-click the text again
5) move the cursor through the text
Result: the text after the "&" disappears when you cursor over it.

Seems fixed, or no longer happening
