Question: Limit # of measures in a line?
Hello forum, Is it possible to limit/standardize how many bars are in one line of music? My score looks very disorganized because the software crams many measures into one line, then puts 2-3 on the last one. If this is possible, how do I do it?

I see how to break it into sections, but it it possible to tell the program to put X number of bars on every line?
Thanks!

Hi Origamichef,
Go to Edit>Tools>Add/Remove System Breaks. In the dialog box that is displayed, type the number of measures per line that you want. There you go :).

For X number of bars per system (i.e. line):

Tried this, ended up with a line of 4 and a line of 2 instead of one line of 6

I'm not sure but I think there's simply too much information to cram everything into 6 bars on one line. Musescore creates bar sizes based on the minimal amount of space required. In your score, you can't cram 2 lines into 1. There isn't room. Musescore mimics real world scoring techniques very well. Perhaps someone can verify my thoughts on this?

You need bigger (wider) paper:

Reduce scaling to fit your current page size:

Rethink putting 6 measures on a line.
