I can not confirm this on Windows with the latest nightly, 8831b5b.
If the build you've been using is older than d59cc84, could you please try again? That build had some changes for spanners, and AFAIK slurs are spanners
And please always report the full version, 'latest' is just not exact enough ;-)

crash -> critical
Ok! The version is R.44c17d9, I updated to R.8831b5d and it is still crashing. OS is Mac 10.9.4
I think this is linked with the issue http://musescore.org/en/node/27321 .
Well, that issue had been fixed (at least the crash), it is the one I've been talking about
And it doesn't crash on Windows 7 (Enterprise 64bit, SP1)
I confirm: no crash for me on Windows 7 (Premium 64 bit)
Just to be really clear about this: https://www.dropbox.com/s/y1liawzqhup68ar/20140710crash.mscz
When I delete (press del) the second note in this score, Musescore crashes.
No crash here...
Still not me either: the note and the slur are simply deleted, but no crash.

in 8fcdf0d29b is another slur related fix
With the latest nightly for mac, 8fcdf0d, it's still crashing.
Fixed in c0618b13bd
