Invisible tempo should have more visual contrast in input/edit mode
I often use massive tempo editing (sometimes on a note-by-note basis) to get a more meaningful rendering of my music. As these indications must not show in the printed score, I make them invisible; and in order to clean up a bit such a crowded workspace I use a small font size (8). This is fatal for poor vision, especially with small screens such as a in a laptop.
It is very logical that invisible features --including tempo-- be greyed out, but it is not necessary that when editing its value it be shown even lighter, reaching virtual invisibility. I think it would be better to use the blue font used in other text boxes, or green or other easily visible color to recall it is an invisible feature.
PD: I know one could make it visible while editing, but 1) it is one more step, 2) there is the risk of forgetting to turn it invisible again, and 3) when using the navigator the toggle may take half a second ore more, which is a bit cumbersome.

This used to be the case, but got canged in 2.3 to make more clear that the element you have selected is in fact invisible. Maybe using a solid color when editing might be possible?

My vote is that is was a bad decision. It doesn't matter if what you are editing is visible or not. Even someone as forgetful as me can remember he's editing an invisible item.

I agree that it was a bad decision. Editing invisible tempo marks has become really difficult.

IMHO not a bad decision when just selected (single click), but indeed when editing (double click)

This is how it looks. See the second tempo mark (60).
It is possible, if considered necessary, to use another color, as green.
