how to adapt custom key signature to bass clef
Hello,
I want to write a piano score with a custom key signature.
I've created the signature as explained in the hanbook but it is valid only for the treble clef.
How can I adjust the key signature on the bass clef ?
I've attached a sample score.
Thanks in advance for your help,
Acidy

Just create a new key signature with the accidentals on the lines/spaces you want, and ignore the fact that the key signature design dialog happens to display a treble clef.

Apply it by pressing ctrl while dragging it.

doesn't seem to fix the problem. it does visually, but it still seems to follow the treble clef key key signature.

When you create a custom key signature, the clef is ignored. All accidentals are applied to specific lines or spaces.

nevermind, I think i figured it out. I started over from scratch, instead of having one piano track, I created two and deleted the bottom clef in the first and the top clef in the second. instead of setting a key signature I did the cntrl key and then dragged it to each line. hope my explanation makes sense.

I understand.
In the future it is better to start a new thread in the bug and support forum and explain what you are trying to do. There are several people here who are willing to help you and explain how to do it. This is far better than finding several existing threads and commenting on them. That only leads to confusion. There will no doubt be comments on your other comments in the next day.
You have to create the key signature on the lines and spaces you want and apply them to the staff without regard to the clef. This discussion was just revived a few hour ago, see #270517: Request for custom key signatures to adapt to clef
