Program won't open

I downloaded MuseScore this morning and played around on it for an hour or so. I got off and a couple of hours later tried to get back on it. The program won't even open, nor the sheet music that I saved to my computer. I know I have the latest version because I just downloaded it this morning. I have been looking in the forums to see if anyone else has had this issue but had no luck. I even put it on the forums to see if someone knew, but i ended up here. Is this just bad luck on my part and it didn't download correctly or did I manage to mess up the program some how? I would really like to keep using the program. What is my next step from here?
