Entering a rest with measure duration leads to its wrong placement
Steps to reproduce:
1) Create a new score, for example, with 4/4 time signature
2) Enter a rest with a whole note duration (N→7→0)
Expected result: rest remains aligned by center, cursor moves to the next measure.
Result: rest is aligned left.
Rest placement then cannot be reset as far as I understand. A workaround is to select a measure and delete it.

IMHO that is by design and the difference between a whole rest and a full measure rest, and has been that way ever since
Still we don't have a way to switch a rest to a full measure rest, do we? I think this may be confusing for some users.
select measure, press Ctrl+Shift+Del. documented in the handbook since ages ;-)
See https://musescore.org/en/handbook/measure-rests
Well, I should read the handbook better :)
Perhaps we should consider making this somehow more obvious in the UI too but at least that is not a bug, that is already good.

The status bar tells you if you are looking at a measure rest or whole rest.
I think a whole rest should automatically be changed to a whole measure rest on 4/4, 2/2, c and ¢ timesigs.

I think that MuseScore should continue with its current results. Preventing a user from doing as he pleases, when it's harmless, is not a good idea.
