How to input a note variation between first and second time a repeated section is played?

Hello!
How do I input note variations between first and second time a repeated section is played?

Background: I'm using MuseScore to write a multi-instrument piece that has a section that is repeated in it. However, the second time that section is played, there are some variations compared to when it was played the first time. Variations may include some additional notes, some staves have a louder dynamic (e.g. p will become mp) and so on.

I would prefer the play-back to recognize these variations.

Or do I have to copy the material to appended separate measures?
