I copied part of the score (not the whole score and not from the beginning) from trombone staff (bass clef - "trb2" on attached image) into french horn staff (treble clef - "h2") and I found some extra clefs generated into french horn staff.
This happens for several larger scores that were previously created in MuseScore 2.2.1. I tried to reproduce it in new short score created completly in MuseScore 3.0 but everything seems to be working.

I'm pretty sure this is a duplicate, but am to lazy to search for it. At least the issue itself is a known one and had been discussed amomgst the developers
Edit: no, I was thinking of something different, extra clefs showing up on scores imported from 2.x
Workaround, or course, is to just delete them
See #277956: Extra initial clef in scores imported from 2.x. I do suspect it is the same root cause. To me probably the most significant import issue to address right now.
Also am guesisng it will prove to be the same in #278993: deleting measures creates extra clef and key signature.
