When editing the electric Bass in a file, where I have a part that shows the Bass as a TAB, in the main window it will sometimes display the wrong note.
Example attached, edit in the main window:
in measure 2 (with the 4 e's in a row), click on the first e, then type 'f' to change it to f. It'll display something weird (see screenshot)
a similar thing happens when you click in measure 3 on the c, then type 'a' to change it to 'a'. It'll show as b graphically, but if you switch to another tab and then back, it'll show as 'a'.

After the parts were created, you changed in main score the staff type (ie for standard, initially a TAB staff).
And so, you encounter this bug/limitation, #62416: Changes to staff transposition (and other properties) not reflected in linked parts, eg here, the standard staff has 6 lines, the TAB staff, 4!
A simple example: Bass parts.mscz . Works as expected.
And after changing, in Instruments dialog, the staff type in main score: Bass parts1.mscz , and type eg a C first ledger line above the staff. Result: your issue
Note though layout is 'updated' when you type another note. But not sure it will be an absolute guarantee of a good result. More cautious probably to not change the staff type in a score with parts right now in presence to this known bug.
So, marked as duplicate.
But my issue is slightly different: the other thing complains that changes are not reflected in linked parts.
But that's exactly what I want. I don't want it shown as TAB in the main score; I only want it as TAB in the linked part.
My issue that if I change the staff property in the linked score to TAB, but keep it set to normal in the main score, every change I make in the main score takes a second to show properly. [when you change one note it is shown wrong, but after I change the next note, the first one jumps to the proper spot].
I understand you may want to group this issue, but it's different from the texts in the other one.
"But that's exactly what I want. I don't want it shown as TAB in the main score; I only want it as TAB in the linked part."
I understand perfectly.
But it is not rather different as issue, it is the deep origin (currently and basically no staff properties are linked)

In this/your case, it's simply not intended for, not implemented natively in this way (as eg in Guitar Pro program).
So, right now, it's more considered as a workaround, or a "hack". Probably a feature request ("suggestion") was filled for this.
