Ending a line
I am a new MuseScore user. I have read through much of the user guide and still have some questions:
-
Where can I find the tutorial?
-
When I have finished entering a line of measures, how do I start the next one without leaving unused measures at the end?
-
If I do have unused measures at the end of a line, how do I get rid of them? There doesn't seem to be the equivalent of a carriage-return/line-feed at the end of my lines.
Thank you,
Jack Kelly

Thanks, Shoichi, for the quick response. Your answers have solved my initial problems.
Howdy, JD. If you "Have read through much of the user guide" and do not have questions you should be in Cambridge working on the "Theory of Everything" or perhaps start your own religion.
As Shoichi pointed out, there are "tutorials" and "how tos" under the SUPPORT column. Sometimes a SEARCH for a specific problem will bring you to a discussion with the answer. I have found it useful to read through discussions now and then because most likely they will solve a problem you will come upon eventually.
IF SEARCH does not work out, use Google or Bing or whatever and it may bring you directly to the relevant MuseScore discussion, or one on You-Tube.
The user guide or handbook can seem overwhelming, but it is laid out in order of priority (beginning with note input). Of course, you will surely come upon a problem you are not yet prepared for, in which case you will find as I have in my 3 months here that folks are very helpful.
Good luck.

Thank you, Penne Vodka, for your kind words of wisdom and encouragement. I look forward to learning this incredible app, and transcribing lots of interesting pieces. Hopefully I will, finally, at the age of 76, learn something about music!

Your welcome. I hope you do; music is a wonderful thing to know. And I hope, at age 70, that I'll finally understand this software and all the wretched CYBERSPEAK which adorns these pages. :-0
Buona fortuna
