Additionally, it seems the playback tickbox in the inspector has no effect anymore.

Grace notes after don't play back in 2.x, they do though in 3.0 Beta

The first in the default menu, the slashed one; placed before the note, it doesn't play and doesn't cause MIDI events

Not in the palettes...but rather...
since your score shows 46 staves, 49 measures, 39 instruments... it would be nice to mention the specific measure number (and instrument) in the actual score.

Oops. Well, it's in the snare drum staff (4th one, first single-line one) starting from measure 17, and on from there.

Actually it does work, but as both notes are the same sound (pitch) and grace notes are stealing off of the main note, it isn't audible.
It is visible in the PRE too, if you zoom in enough:
If you take a percussion stave with more than one sound, and have the grace and the main note in different pitches, it does play 2 sounds.

Uhm, up to a couple weeks ago it did work, it made a clear effect that I was looking for, and now it just sounds as if it were just straight eight notes.
