Re-pitch sometimes frequently the previous note to a rest

I decided to download and try out Musescore 3.0, now that it's stable, and discovered that when using re-pitch changing the pitch of a with the Re-pitch function and my MIDI keyboard frequently turns the previous note into a rest. So far, I've only seen this when the previous note is one that I've also re-pitched, but I haven't been banging on it for very long, so it's possible that it also happens with the first note and I just haven't seen it.
