Cannot drag-n-drop dynamics/articulations from a palette to a score in version 3.0.1
Hello,
I am a long time user of MuseScore since version 1. Yesterday I installed version 3.0.1. My previous version was 2.3.1.
I created a score with a single instrument. My usual workflow consists of two phases:
1. Entering all notes in Note input mode (one by one) - Step-Time mode.
2. Then I switch off Note input mode and go from beginning of the score to drap-n-drop dynamics and articulations.
I did it in version 2. But right now in version 3.0.1 when I am trying to drag, for example, mf from Dynamics palette to the score the mf has crossed red circle sign in botton-right corner of mf icon during dragging phase.
Thus I cannot put dynamics/articulations on notes.
I tried to enable Note input note and then I tried to drag-n-drop mf again - but the result is the same.
Any help on it is appreciated.

Select the note, double click the dynamic?

Yes. Thank you. It seems so it works this way in version 3. I click on the note on the score then double click on the dynamic.

No change here vs. 2.x as far as I know?

The change is that in version 3 drap-n-drop onto a note does not work.

It does for me

Yes, it does. Read the discussion below. It was a problem of right position of the cursor over a note's head.
Drop it onto the note. Better select the note and double click the dynamic though

What I did in version 2.* - drop onto the note. But it does it work this way in version 3.0.1. I provided screenshot above. But 1. click on a note. 2. double click on mf located on dynamics palette works fine in version 3.0.1. I did not use it this way in version 2. But now it seems like I need to use this this way in version 3.

Drag and drop does work in version 3, it's just not as easy to get the cursor to change to the arrow to point where you want to drop the articulation.
See #278767: "no drop" mouse pointer badly positioned for a long discussion on this.

Mike, I confirm it works in version 3 after your recommendations. Thank you! It looks like I tried to drop mf directly on the note's head. It did not work. But I actually need to drop the pointer (the middle between mf and red crossed circle). And then the coursor is changed and I can apply mf (and all other dynamics/articulations) this way. See the screenshots. (I made zoom 400% for easy dropping just for the test).
