Fretlight guitar support

Would anybody be interested in working on support for the Fretlight guitar (http://fretlight.com/developers)? They make their SDK available on request, and after some struggling I managed to build their Hello World example with Qt 5.3.0 on Ubuntu 14.04. It didn't work, though, the neck showed no signs of life. My guess is that the problem has to do with the USB drivers.
