This works differently (and less rationally) conceptually to the Half Time plugin, in that whereas Half Time halves only the note values, Double Time doubles the time signature as well as the note values. This aspect should be separated out, such that only the selected note values are doubled. It's already possible to change the time signature without recourse to a plugin.

Beta phase is over since quie while, try 3.0.1
But plugins don't work there either, known issue, see #280740: [Feedback form] Plugins don't work (the list of requests)
Actually even once plugins in MuseScore 3 are made working again, this plugin most likely needs to get adjusted
see also #282199: Halftime for MuseScore 2 doesn't work in MuseScore 3
Workaround is to use the new 'Paste double' and 'Paste Half'

Thank you!!
