Musescore 3.0.1 doesn't start on Windows 10
Musescore 2.3.2 (32-bit) is installed on my Windows 10 (build 1803) laptop (64-bit, 32 GB RAM, i7-Skylake CPU). It runs perfectly. Yesterday, I installed Musescore 3.0.1 alongside, but that version doesn't start. I tried running it from the command prompt, like this ...
C:\Program Files\MuseScore 3\bin>MuseScore3.exe -F -d -L -w
... to see if it would write any debug info so I could investigate what the issue is, but it writes nothing.
When it starts up, a text message flashes up for a very short time, but it's hidden behind the splash screen. Is there a way to disable the splash screen so I could view the message?
The splash screen stays for another second, then goes away. Musescore 3.0.1 seems to terminate completely; there's nothing left running that I could see in Task Manager.

There are tools you can download & install that will capture console output on Windows; unfortunately Microsoft doesn't make it as easy as other OS's.
Meanwhile, have you done a search of this site to find the other reports of known incompatibilities? There are several, I'd suggest you check them out and see if any apply.

I checked for similar bugs before I filed this one. The behavior I encountered seems different, though, because there's no error message whatsoever (except possibly the one I can't see because the splash screen hides it). Again, is there a way to suppress the splash screen?
