Select a bar;
Open the text palette, double-click (eg Instrument):
Four strings of text at a time.
I'm on Vista but I do not know if it is my problem (did you know already?)

How many notes do you currently have selected when you double click "Instrument"?
For me, if I have one note selected, I get one text. If I have four notes selected, I get four texts. That's as it should be, isn't it?

One of my misunderstanding.
I selected the bar and not a single note.
But the possibility of connecting in that case at the bar or, for example, "Lyric Verse Number" also to a note is a bit 'misleading.
