Adding/removing "bold" has no effect on Musejazz text font.
I imported a file from 2.x
I replace the title font with musejazz text.
I all other cases the resultant text was caused by the bold being a part of it, and when I remove the bold the text appeared as I wished.
In this case, however, the bold did not appear to be selected, yet the text was unusual. I selected adding the bold, no result. I then removed it - no result.

When I open your file, I see the title is set to FreeSerif as per the Inspector, no bold, but you've also set all the characters within the text to Times New Roman, Bold as per the text toolbar. Not a good idea to do that, best to just use the Inspector and leave the text toolbar for changing individual characters within the text (like to make one word within a title bold).
Anyhow, if I use the Remove Custom Formatting button to get rid of the Times bold, I see non-bold FreeSerif just as I expect. And if I change to MuseJazz, it's not bold, also just as I expect. And if I press the bold button, it becomes bold. So I'm not quite sure what you are referring to.
I do know that there seems to be some sort of glitch that some people experience with MuseJazz, I've seen screenshots but can't reproduce it myself. It's possible you were seeing that issue back when you did have this set to MuseJazz.
