Harmonica Takeover
I have a harmonica part and I need it loud initially but softer later so it doesn't take out everything else. I've put in dynamic markings to indicate this, and it does nothing to the playback. It works for the other instruments, but I can't get it to change the harmonica.

Was this file imported from MIDI? If so, the velocity information is "baked in". Go to the Inspector and reset the velocity info there (eg, select all, hit Notes in inspector, then set the velocity to offset / 0.
If that's not it, please attach your score so we can understand and assist better.

I don't think I know what MIDI is. I did all of this from scratch. The velocity already says "offset/0".

I sounds fine to me. I used the mixer (F10) and soloed the Harmonica and it was obvious the volume is changing fine. I might use a different soundfont than you do, but it's working fine in version 2.3.2. The score says it was created in version 2.1, so there may have been an issue at the time.
