Some score issues: maybe bugs?
OS: Windows 10 (10.0), Arch.: x86_64, MuseScore version (64-bit): 3.1.0.5648, revision: cb404f9
Open the attached 2.x file and take the reset. A few observations:
- In measures 1-2, the tenuto and accent are separate in 2.x, but have been combined in 3.x.
- The chord symbols are always below the staff in 2.x, but are sometimes above the staff, sometimes below, in 3.x.
- System 2 in 2.x is too wide for 3.x and the last measure has been moved to a new system. It isn't clear what is causing the extra width.
- There are large gaps underneath the lyrics in 3.x. This can be resolved by reducing the Lyrics Min. bottom margin, but perhaps the program could do this automatically?
-
If you adjust the score in 3.x to give 4 systems per page (chord symbols below staff), there is an extra space above the bottom page margin compared to 2.x.:

Automatically combining articulations where possible is a new feature, not a bug.
The chord symbols should be getting "below" placement but apparently the code to do this is getting confused somehow. Feel free to submit a bug report on that.
It's the lyrics spacing that is the issue, see #284235: Too much space between lyrics. We currently enforce an extra 1sp between syllables, apparently in an effort to make sure hyphens always show (they didn't in 2.x). I have a PR to do this more intelligently, it should help here.
Also a known issue, see #281414: Request to adjust lyrics top/bottom margins for compatibility on import. Reducing the lyrics bottom margin is indeed the answer, and my PR does this automatically.
Coincidentally, I just discovered and submitted a fix for this a few hours ago :-). See #284635: Last system of page is one staff height too far from margin

See #284656: Chord symbols below the staff in MS 2.x are moved to above the staff in MS 3.x.
