Check Instrument Ranges
If anyone knows how to check a single measure or an entire score for notes that are out of range for the instrument indicated, please let me know.
Otherwise, this would be a very useful feature.
Thanks!

If you right click a staff and choose staff/part properties you will see what MuseScore considers the amateur and professional ranges on the instrument. Any note that is outside of the amateur range, but in the professional range will be an olive green or gray color. Instruments that are outside of the professional range will be red. This is turned on by checking Color notes outside of usable pitch range in Edit->Preferences->Note Input.

If you look at the status bar, you will see the notes are within the range defined. I couldn't get MuseScore to show a note outside of the organs range.

Now for the reality check. Not every organ is capable of this range. If you plan on writing for an organ, check the actual range on the instrument and adjust the settings in the staff/part properties.
