Open the attached score and take the reset. Look at the accents in the bass staff, M2-3. On two of the chords there is an extra space between the accent and the chord.
- In the bass staff, M2, select the first accent;
-
Move it forward 0.1sp using the Inspector x-offset.
Result: As expected, the accent clears the accidental and tucks into the chord. -
Now reset the accent, double-click it and use the right arrow key to move the accidental forward.
Expected result: Same as above.
Actual result: The symbol does not tuck in but remains at the same vertical position.

Same in score created from scratch, accidentals apparently influence the default position of accent markings unnecessarily. Only applies to accents, not other articulations as far as I can tell, and only to notes that are just above or below the staff (eg, top or bottom line, or the space above/below the staff).
Pretty sure the bounding box for the flat sign is just wide enough that the box for the accent needs to sit on top of it. Better if we defined a tighter shape for the accent.
