Ultimate Guitar and copyright licensing: any developments?

There was discussion that UG would be arranging for MS users to produce works that are presently under copyright with the various entities that own/control copyrights. But I haven’t seen any updates on the matter.
Does anyone have some insight, or can point to where such things are tracked?
