Nothing special. This is not a new feature. It was a way of solving/improving these related issues: #279897: Setting “Custom Tablature” in Instruments windows results in standard staff and
#30096: Changes to advanced style properties in tablature causes clef in Instruments to change (some links inside)
So, for example, if, from a TAB "common" staff type, you choose, in the advanced style properties, and in the "Note Values" tab, to display "Note symbols" instead of the default "Stems and beams": the staff type is then considered as a custom tablature.
Otherwise, before the fix, a standard staff type appeared in the dialog after this operation.That's all. It's just a matter of display.
That said, the fix was only partial, since the clef after the same operation, is not correct, expected: tablature ; current result, treble clef 8va bassa (if I understood correctly this issue, it is a very delicate bag of knots to handle and fix)
To summarize, nothing has changed fundamentally in the tablature section (anyway, unfortunately, there is no longer any developer in charge of this part of the program)
