Changing the kind of file to open
Hi, Gang!!!
With MuseScore 3.0.5, each time we want to open a file, we get a files directory where we can see ALL the kind of files we can use in MuseScore.
Wouldn't it be better if MuseScore shows ONLY the standard MuseScore kind of files when we use the option "Open"? ???
It is not new in the software world!!! There are a lot of programs with two options when we want to use some file: "OPEN" and "IMPORT".
My idea is MuseScore would had the same.
So... When we use the "OPEN" option, MuseScore shows the standard *.mscz files ONLY.
And, when we use the "IMPORT" option, then (and only then) MuseScore shows all the other files.
Just an idea!!!
Blessings and Greetings from Chile, South America!!!

I think you wanted to put this in the issue tracker with an severity of S5 - Suggestion.

@Juan, I don't get that. Which source folder did you select in 'Preferences'?

The only one folder with MuseScore scores: Documentos/MuseScore/Partituras (in English it would be: Documents/MuseScore/Scores).
In that folder there are some MIDI format files and PDF files. It is annoying, from time to time, to open the wrong file (right name, bad format).

It isn't a matter of the folder, but of the default format chosen by MuseScore, which is all supported files and not whatever format had been specified last like it is the case for export.
