Harpsichord by Christian Zell 1737 (soundfont / sf2)
Hi.
Here are two links for soundfont files using the samples of each key of the harpsichord built by Christian Zell in 1737. There is also a link to I piece I wrote completely in Musescore demonstrating all the possible combinations of the instrument and also interpretation possibilities currently available in Musescore.
I hope you enjoy.

Hi!
It seems like the transposing is incorrect, at least when I try to use this soundfont on a music visualization app. It looks like it's one octave lower than it should, isn't it?

It works perfectly for me in Musescore and in Qsynth. It may be your application. Unless someone or something modified it after I uploaded it.
Reminder: It has a 4-foot stop that sounds one octave above and two 8-fokt stops that sound in the natural octave.

Ah, I guess that's what was making the sf2 sound an octave higher. The problem now will be changing this in my synthesia-like software, since it automatically uses the octave-higher version and I don't know how to change.
By the way, are you catalan? You're the one that made the soundfont, aren't you?

if you use Presets 1,2,3,7 or 8, you wont hear the higher octave

The samples are not mine. They came from this site.

I just compiled the soundfont file using the vanilla samples.
I'm not Catalan. I'm Brazilian.
You can avoid the presets that have the octave higher however many harpsichord were built with it because many people like to couple the higher octave with the natural octave when playing the harpsichord.

I ended up using a sf2 editor to transpose the soundbank and it honestly sounds quite nice.
Thanks for sharing that beautiful soundfont with us!
Very interesting, Thanks for sharing..
Thank you very much for sharing this soundfont. I was just looking for a harpsichord for MuseScore.
Unfortunately, in MS4 it is not possible to select each preset.

For harpsichord music it's better tonuse MS3, specially because if you want to change register throughout the piece you can create a xml with a custom instrument and assign different registers to staff text changes.
