How can I remove selected measure numbers?
For example, I have a melody staff and an ossia staff. The measure number appears on both and the one for the lower staff is redundant.
An addition to the Rt click facility would be useful.
EDIT: Of course, as soon as I posted this I realized I could "make not visible". An oddity is that when one makes it invisible, all the elements on the staff following move slightly to the right.

You can right click a measure number and choose Select>All similar elements in same staff so you can select the measure numbers.
Style / Format / Measure Numbers has a checkbox to control whether they appear on all staves or not.

Style->Format doesn't have the option to only suppress the ossia though. I'm assuming there are other unseen instruments here.

True. Don specifically said he wanted to keep the top and lose the bottom, so that works, but if you wanted it the other way around you'd need to use one of the other methods.

I thought that my title was clear but apparently not. "How can I remove selected measure numbers?"
By that I mean only selected measure numbers, for example only that one, not others.

A modest trick, if it can be useful to you...
Right click the number-> Inspector, select the color white

Are you saying there's something missing from the right click to select some of the number missing?
To make some go away, select them and press V and they will be invisible.
