Works superfast for me, when using 'drag and drop'
Doesn't work at all when using Right-click > Add > Image
Is that what you mean?

oh, I see, you mean the latter, it does work, but takes so long that it seems to not work at all!

I don't understand though why a horizontal frame would be needed here, you can add the image to the vertical frame already
Also you could use plain text for those lyrics

I added the horizontal frame on top of the vertical because I was following a process I found on a different thread. I initially tried adding simple text but couldn't get the formatting I was looking for.
