"Performance" suggestions?
Any suggestions, e.g., global adjustments to articulations, note durations, volume envelopes, etc., for how to make playback convey "dolce," "scherzando," "brillante," or "con moto," etc.? Thanks!

Hard to say. Those terms, like much of music, are a bit nebulous. Think about how you would play to get those ideas across. Not sure there is anything global about con moto. Instrumentation will go a long way in conveying some of these. Plus how and what you write. Brillante probably won't be heavy on tuba.
