Sound Font Patches: <instrument> Expr.

Hello everyone.
I was playing around with the mixer on one of my scores, and I noticed that the patches for some instruments have been slightly modified. For example, the Alto Sax patch says "Alto Sax Expr."
I was just wondering what that means.
