Measures overlapping title
I've been working with orchestral scores recently, and a problem I run into almost every time is that the system has so many instruments that it overlaps with the title. Even if I go to Layout>Page settings and adjust the scaling, the top of the system still overlaps with the title.
sometimes there is plenty of space below the system for it to (theoretically) be able to shift down and be fine, but as far as I can tell there is no way of doing that. All I know is once I get to a certain number of instruments there is no way of avoiding the title being overlapped with measures.
Is there a way to fix this? It looks unprofessional if the title is covered or if I move the title out of its place and squish it up at the very top of the page. Thanks!

Have you already tried to set the page size (A3 or larger)?
Or add space under the title frame via Inspector?

I tried setting different page sizes with minimal success, but I haven't tried adding a space yet- could you offer more instruction on how to do that? I'm still getting accustomed to the new layout. Thank you!

Select the Title frame;
Open Inspector->set 'Bottom gap'
If you have a "Layout" menu, it sounds like you are using an older version of MuseScore, which indeed lacks automatic placement. MuseScore 3 handles this automatically.
If that doesn't help, please attach your score so we can understand and assist better.
