Audio missing from OBS

I'm trying to live stream and record videos for YouTube using OBS. I've no problem with my microphone or screen recording, or recording the sound coming from the computer - everything works - EXCEPT the audio coming from MuseScore. All other audio from my computer's programmes (e.g. iTunes, Safari, Garageband, MP3 files etc etc) is picked up perfectly by OBS, but not MuseScore 3 for some reason.

Anybody know why, and how I can solve this? What's so unique about the playback of MuseScore 3 that it doesn't allow streaming software to pick it up? I can hear the audio in my headphones while the recording is taking place - but not when I playback the finished recording.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

had this same issue, go to EDIT > PREFERENCES, then I/O, set the api to WINDOWS WASAPI and choose your output device, then restart musescore. check your windows volume mixer to make sure its there, if it is, obs should pick up musescore along with the other desktop audio.
