Parentheses notehead not working
Hello!
I am currently trying to put parentheses around certain noteheads, and I can't seem to get them to apply. The two methods that worked in past versions were clicking on the parentheses button underneath the noteheads tab with the notehead in the score selected, or dragging the parentheses onto the notehead. The first one now does nothing, and the second method simply adds a new empty measure without changing the notehead. All of the other notehead buttons work as intended, though. Is there something I am missing, or is this a bug? I believe I am on 4.4.4 now, or whatever the current update is.

Still works as expected here (version 4.4.4, Windows10). See image below:
What's your OS?
If not, I'm not at all sure this is the solution, but you can "Reset palette" (via the three dots "...", near the recycle bin symbol) of Noteheads.
