Can't access Musescore any more..
Today I can't open any of my Muse Score files. So I've uninstalled and downloaded Musescore 3. I have the icon back, but it still won't open- all I get is a few seconds of the rotating circle to say it is trying and then it just stops trying. Meanwhile there is some music I need to transcribe.... Running Windows 10 home. edition

Try double clicking a score to open MuseScore. If this succeeds then open edit->preferences and uncheck "Show start center"
uninstall/reinstall only works in very rare occasions, reverting to factory setting much more often, here though it'd nedd to be done via commandline, see https://musescore.org/en/handbook/3/revert-factory-settings#instruction…

Thanks both. While it wouldnt take v 3, I reinstalled v2 and then updated - twice. Seems to work fine now, though occasionally throwing up an error Oxc000012f, apparently a "bad image" which "is either not designed to run on Windows or contains an error". But the warning goes away after closing it a couple of times. Have no idea if this is going to persist.

I've never seen that error. When does it show up? Can you attach a score that causes it?
What happens when you run version 3? We are willing to help you get it going, it's well worth the upgrade.
