Can the program save file as a MIDI file?

I wouldn't use the word "save"; MIDI contains much less information than the .mscz file as which MuseScore saves your file. It can certainly produce a MIDI file , as you see. (The operation is called "export"). Probably you already know all this, but I'm just making sure.
