Can you explain exactly what is small? The view of the score (this should be "life size", exactly the same size on screen as when printed)? The text in menus and dialogs? The icons on the toolbar? A screenshot could help. Also say what version of MuseScore (see Help / About) and what OS.
But I can guess maybe MuseScore is having trouble detecting your monitor resolution. See the Handbook on "Command line options" and try the "-D xxx" option, with "xxx" being the resolution of your monitor in dots per inch.
