sixteenth note/semiquaver beams
I am trying to get the beam with the two slanted lines through it (indicating 16th notes/semiquavers), but can't find it in any of the palettes... does this beam exist in MuseScore, and if so, where can I find it?
Thank you...

Just enter sixteenth notes. They will beam with each other automatically (the beaming can be customized, but let's get the easy stuff first).
When you enter 16th notes, the beam is added by MuseScore. It can be slanted or not slanted. You do not have to enter the (two lines) beam for 16th notes.

So sorry, I used the wrong term. What I am trying to get are stems (not beams) with the two slanted lines through them, so it looks like a quarter note with two slanted lines through the stem, which indicates sixteenth notes. I'm writing many repeated sixteenth notes, so it's cleaner (and space-saving) to use the quarter note with the lines through the stem.
Is this possible in MuseScore?
Thank you!

That's called a "tremolo". Read here: https://musescore.org/en/handbook/3/tremolo
