Stay cross-staffing
Curious to know whether others would agree that when in note-entry, cross-staffing should be like a "currently set" attribute so that after doing it once, continuing note-entry would provide cross-staffed notes? For example, once the user has pressed CTRL+SHIFT+UP, moving the most recently inputted note, then continuing input within note-entry, the desirable behavior would be to continue cross-staffed so that if there were 8 cross-staffed notes in a row, the user wouldn't have to keep CTRL+SHIFT+UPping them one at a time right after the other. Instead, the user would have to CTRL+SHIFT+DOWN back again in this example once finished with the cross-staffed notes. This seems to be the better option than it currently is.
Unless there's a better way already? Of course the user can select them after entry is finished and do one large CTRL+SHIFT+UP, but besides this...

Selecting and moving after is indeed the better way. I might agree it makes sense in note input for this to "stick", but we'd probably need to add an explicit toggle button to clarify this.

Yeah, a toggle button would make sense. It would also serve to reiterate the fact that a note were cross-staffed when selecting. If that were done, it might even be worth having a text indicator showing cross-staffing in the Status Bar for the current note.
