How to adjust Measure size
When I am adding a tremelo articulation to a whole note suddenly the measure is given it's own full line (even though there is only one note on it) How do I adjust this? Any ideas?

Most likely there is a line break (a standard line break icon, displayed over the barline), you will need to select and delete it. But if that's not it, indeed, we would need you to attach your score in order to understand and assist better.
