Bach difficult to transcribe
How would you begin to transcribe the attached. My first problem is with multiple voices. I can erase the rests that creep in. But I can't figure a way to manage the first dominant 7th. It seems impossible to place the high f# separately from the e.
I was hoping to transcribe this for guitar for someone who is shut in but plays the guitar.
Ideas?

Select the entire measure and you'll see by color which notes are in which voice. You can then look at the notes on beat 3 in the inspector and see the alterations I made.
I believe the only thing that won't then explain itself is the slur on beat 1. Select the B2 then ctrl+click the B4 and press S to apply the slur.

I had tried the offset on minimum distance. Doing it on the chord does the job - thank you. That's a great help to my start. My disabled son will thank you too.

Let us know if there is anything else we can do to help. We're all happy to help others learn to use the program better and handicapped accessibility is a huge priority among several of the contributors.
Polyphonic violin music is among the hardest tasks for MuseScore. Please see https://musescore.com/bsg/phrased_chaconne_intro for such in the Bachgesellschaft notation conventions (and appropriate sound).

I'm not sure if you realize it, but he's transcribing it for guitar, so the violin sound won't matter.

Oh well, but still, the graphics techniques are still relevant.
