Jumping over measures
I have a section of music that I want musescore to skip over the first time it comes to it. I have a start repeat measure so that once musescore gets to the end of the section it goes to the part that I wanted it to skip originally. Is there any way to make it so that it skips the measures that I don't want it to play?

It's hard to say without seeing your score, but normally music is written the other way around, you place you music you do want played first.
I'm guessing this is for only some instruments (all instruments wouldn't make sense), so the answer is no. The only way currently to get playback is to use Tools->Unroll and adjust playback in the newly created score, there is no notation that will allow this and no way to reroll a score.
