To Remember my Last Rhythm Value When Changing Input Modes
Very often there is one rhythm value, say a dotted half note in 3/4 time, which I need to input again and again. When I am reliant on frequently using playback to judge what I've just written, this becomes a problem, as every time I play and pause the playback, the note input mode changes, and then the note rhythm value resets back to the default of a quarter note. That means that I have to press "n 6 ." over and over again. It's not that this is unmanagable of course, but the writing process would be more efficient, and more fluid, if there was an option to have the program remember the last rhythm value I used, even when changing note input modes.

Interesting idea. It does have some legit applications. Consistently having the same duration selected every time you enter note input mode is also a good idea so you don't have to guess about or remember which duration is selected when you press N. I keep my toolbar up there for the accidentals, but I personally don't pay attention to which duration is selected on the toolbar unless my finger slips off a button and I want to know if I pressed it.
