Importing MIDI changes instrumentation - cannot adjust

Hi! I have an old music software program (Music Time Deluxe) that I want to turn into MUSESCORE , but when I import the file, it adds piano to my staffs, and I have no idea how to fix it. I pull up the dropbox for instrument, but piano keeps showing up. Any advice?

It's easier to help if you attach the file you are having trouble with. But to remove an instrument from a score, go to Edit / Instruments, select the instrument, and delete.
