Project
1) Begin a second ending (seconda volta) with a repeat sign and end the section with a repeat sign.
2) During Playback, the repeat will not work.
3) However, if you delete the Seconda Volta instruction (line), then the repeat does work.

Change the repeat list of that 2nd volta to "1, 2", via Inspector

OK, thanks for the reply. Yes, that does work as a workaround.
Relates to #299323: [EPIC] Issues with repeats and jumps
https://github.com/musescore/MuseScore/pull/6248
This seems to be an issue only when editing or creating new files in the latest update. Play back on older files seems to work.
Nothing to do with the latest update
But maybe you're talking about #308698: Continuous view stops repeats from working in playback?
