Ever since I have downloaded the MDL and General HQ extensions, whenever I open a couple files (large or small) and then I proceed to close out of the program, I am unable to reopen it. The program itself lags out and gives me the prompt of Musescore is Not Responding. I've only had this problem after downloading those extensions. I really like the extensions so I hope they stick around for a while but I really don't want to fix my problem every couple hours by uninstalling and redownloading Musescore a couple times and uninstalling and reinstalling the MDL patch. Thank you for looking into this, as anyone had any other recent problems like I have?

Relates to #297854: [EPIC] MDL issues
It's normal that the MDL soundfonts would cause MuseScore to take a very long time - a couple of minutes or so - to open. Perhaps that is all you are seeing?
I also have this porblem. It shows splash screen for around 50 secs and then say that Musescore is not responding.
Came up again in #300103: MDL Extension create crashes
Does it hang indefinilty, or starting to respond after a couple minutes?
It hangs until Windows says it is not responding and ask if I would like to close the program.

Mine varies from time to time, every once in a while it does fine after a couple of minutes, other times it just doesn't respond, crashes and opens the MuseScore repor bug prompt
Workaround: Unpack MDL file.
Only needs about half a minute or so.
It is surprising that General HQ takes only a few seconds to load.
The workaround I mentioned has no sound.
MDL on 3.5 alpha keeps saying loading sfzs.
It is a bit more than just seconds but happens in the background for SF2 and SF3, not though for SFZ

Jojo Schmitz, thank you very much! issue cleared. Now it's working.
It seems for some users (some of the time) MuseScore hangs indefinitely, for some users it just takes a long time to start up, which is tracked in #278300: MuseScore with MDL has long startup.

Hello. I'm not sure if this has been updated since but I can't seem to install the plugin via resource manager and when i click on the link you mentioned it seems to do nothing. Is there an app im missing? Currently on Windows 10
