When having a different time signature in different instruments ( in the example 6/8 in the horns against 2/2 in the rest) the quarter can not be dotted and has to be written as quarter+quaver which is not nice to read.

Sample score please
Yes, here the example bars
Your score is corrupted according to the message on load, but after correcting the corrupt, I didn't have any problems creating dotted quarters. Can you give precise steps to reproduce the problem?

Oh i see, Yes when I open the file it says it's corrupt because of this error. So i'll put two files in the attachment:
"..._bug3_normal.mscz" is the file before i try to put the dotted quarter
"...bug3_dotted.mscz" is the file with the error in it and yes because of this error it's corrupted
the step from "normal" to "dotted" is only putting a dot to 1. Horn, measure 5, 4. quaver
I hope this info will be enough i also put screens if this helps
Thank you very much for this incredible work for musescore!!!
I can reproduce in 3.3.4 but not in 3.4 beta. So I think this a duplicate of #297454: Corruption in local time signature and was fixed with it. If you encounter a similar situation with 3.4 (beta, nightly build, or the final release when it comes out) feel free to reopen this with a new score/steps.
Thank you very much!
